I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
